CMPW - Brief Job Descriptions of the Officers and Directors

PRESIDENT:  Preside at all meetings, supervise the affairs and activities of the organization, be a member of the standing committees, sign correspondence, documents, checks and serves as a member of the Redwood Empire Jr. Football Conference.

PAST PRESIDENT:  The Past President acts as an advisor to the Officers and to the Board of Directors of the organization.

VICE PRESIDENT:  Assume the duties of the President during his absence.  Act as Parliamentarian.  Sign checks as an alternate and fill vacated Board positions if needed.

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR:  Interview and recommend coaches to the Board.  Monitor team rosters, complete Conference forms, work to obtain game schedules with Conference AD.  Serve on Conference Board.  Oversee facilities and fields, ensure home game medical personnel, ensure that volunteers are in place for home and away games, and arrange for home game clean up.

CHEER DIRECTOR:  Interview and recommend coaches to the Board.  Monitor team rosters, assist Recruitment Director and Equipment Director as needed.  Complete all Conference forms and other activities as needed.

SECRETARY:  Take roll, keep minutes, custodian of records, sign official documents, sign checks as an alternate, call to order meetings in the absence of the President and Vice President, maintain list of Officers, Board members and general membership.  Notify the Board of meetings, meeting places, prepares agenda and type correspondence as needed.

TREASURER:  Receive and bank all money.  Keep adequate bookkeeping records, pay bills approved by the Board, present financial report at each meeting, give a complete financial report in December, prepare a proposed budget by May 1st and prepare state and federal tax forms.

EQUIPMENT DIRECTOR:  Oversee all equipment and maintain complete inventory.  Purchase equipment as needed with approval of the Board.  Coordinate annual certification of equipment, oversee distribution of equipment and equipment return.

PUBLIC RELATIONS:  Coordinate all fund raising activities.  Coordinate activities to promote Central Marin Pop Warner.  Publicize sign-up activities, order banners, write announcements and maintain alumni list if possible.

PLAYER/CHEERLEADER RECRUITMENT:  Arrange for and coordinate all player and cheerleader recruitment activities.  Coordinate publicity with Public Relations Director.

TEAM MANAGER:  Maintain team rosters, prepare team books for certification, attend and have team book at all practices and games, ensure that game day volunteer positions are filled (working with Volunteer Director), appoint a parent coordinator, work with Team Manager Coordinator, responsible for communications to parents, collect, clean and return uniforms at the end of the season.

PROGRAM BOOK:  Coordinate solicitation of ads and sponsor sales, coordinate preparation of all content of the Program Book, oversee printing and distribution by September's opening game.

SCHOLASTIC DIRECTOR:  See that all unit scholastic forms and report cards are collected and forward to the necessary Conference representative.

CONCESSION STAND DIRECTOR:  Oversee the concession stand at all home games, purchase food and supplies, coordinate volunteers needed with Volunteer Director, coordinate financial activities with the Treasurer.

EVENTS DIRECTOR:  Coordinate dates, locations and refreshments for all special events.  Oversee the end of the Season banquet (trophy's, certificates, plaques, food, volunteers, etc.).

SAFETY DIRECTOR:  Maintain team medical kits, work with the Team Managers and the Athletic Director to ensure that medical personnel are at practices and home games.

TEAM MANAGER COORDINATOR:  Work with Team Managers to ensure that team books are in order and ready for certification, work with Athletic Director to submit certification paperwork to the Conference, attend required certification meetings, submit team books to the Conference for certification.  Work with Team Managers to ensure that the field rules are being followed.
